Resources to Learn About, Pray For and Embrace our World’s Neighbors and Needs

WorldChristian.com is a ministry founded in 1986 in Amsterdam by former long-term missionaries with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). Our primary focus has always been on promoting understanding of our world, so as to become better at "being in the world" (without being conformed to it).

Our Mission: To increase understanding of the Great Commission within our contemporary and globalized world that will lead to more prayerful and informed engagement.

We see our bookstore operation as both, a ministry in itself (selecting titles that help us understand and engage our world, titles frequently not found in local Christian stores) and a source of funding for ministry. Proceeds from book sales (AND your donations) enable us to support a variety of ministry projects worldwide through WorldChristian Concern, our 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable entity. They alse enable us to continue developing informative prayer guide booklets.

We are the North American publisher/coordinator of the annual 30 Days of Prayer for the Muslim World (see 30DaysPrayer.com). In 2018 we celebrated 25 years of this strategic ongoing prayer focus. Many around the world regularly participate in this annual initiative. In 2017 we also added the 15 Days of Prayer for the Hindu World, and 2019 marked the launch of 15 Days of Prayer for the Buddhist World. (see 15DaysPrayer.com)

We are committed to offer quality and thoughtful products, and to operate with excellence, efficiency and honesty in all our transactions. We are not always able to match the steep discounts of the “big guys,” but when you order from us, you not only get discounts whenever possible (plus quantity discounts!), but your purchase ALSO supports ministry. Concerned about privacy? Shop from the small guys, where you won’t become the product (we do not track your internet usage, nor sell your purchase data).

While we daily process online orders that are shipped all over the world, we are not your typical for-profit distributor with warehouses around the country and 24/7 customer support. As a matter of fact, we are just a husband and wife team with occasional part-time help from our daughter (locally), and our son in (Europe); we operate out of our converted two-car garage.
